Indian Residency violators amnesty Date changed, Aqama violators deport date changed for Indians and Bangladeshi   Thursday, April 9, 2020 Ministry of Interior today announced that the date for residency violators who wish to avail the amnesty scheme is changed for Indian and Bangladeshi nationals. As per the latest announcement from Ministry of Interior, Bangladeshi residents can avail the amnesty from Saturday 11, April 2020 to Wednesday 15 April, 2020. Indian residents can avail the amnesty from Thursday 16, April 2020 to Monday 20 April, 2020. Ministry of Interior informed in a statement. The time and places for illegal residents to avail the amnesty scheme remains same.

Kuwait Amnesty begins today, Plan to send back 200,000 residency violators, Q8 sends back expats Wednesday, April 1, 2020 Residency violators in Kuwait have been granted a 30-day period starting today to leave without paying fines or airfare, with the possibility of returning to the country later. Violators have been instructed to come directly to the designated processing venues in Farwaniya on specific dates depending on their nationality. Illegal Filipino residents are the first on the list of expats to be given a chance to leave. Violators will be received from 8 am till 2 pm according to the following dates and nationalities: Philippines (April 1-5, 2020), Egypt (April 6-10), India (April 11-15), Bangladesh (April 16-20), Sri Lanka (April 21-25), other nationalities (April 26- 30, 2020) Males should proceed to Al-Muthanna Primary School for Boys (Block 1, Street 122) and Females to Farwaniya Primary School for Girls (Block 1, Street 76) …

17 new coronavirus cases in Kuwait; One more Indian confirmed; total at 176 Saturday, March 21, 2020 Up to 17 coronavirus cases were discovered over past 24 hours bringing total number of people infected with COVID-19 virus to 176, official spokesman of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced on Saturday. The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, said that one of the cases is for a citizen traveled to the United Arab Emirates, four cases related to travel to the United Kingdom (three of them are Kuwaiti citizens and one is a Lebanese nationality). Three cases related to travel to Switzerland (a Kuwaiti citizen, a Lebanese nationality, and a resident of Somali nationality), as well as one case related to Kuwaiti citizen traveled to Egypt. He mentioned that there are eight cases related to person travelled to the United Kingdom including four Kuwaiti citizens, one Indian national, two domestic workers of Filipino nationality and one Egyptian. …

Kuwait shuts down all shopping malls with exception of food stores Sunday, March 15, 2020 Shops, malls, and barbershops will be closed due to coronavirus, Tareq Al-Mezrem, government spokesman said Saturday. In a press conference, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad AlSabah, and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, Al-Mezremadded acrades and entertainment centers for children will also be closed. The spokesman said cooperative societies and ration centers will remain open. Kuwait Residency Renewal while outside the country, Due to Corona Virus, COVID-19, iiQ8 Monday, March 9, 2020 Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Residence Affairs Major General Talal Marafi said that considering the current situation and with the directives of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Khaled Al-Saleh, steps are being taken to renew the residency for those who are outside the country due to the current situation. According to Al-Rai Arabic newspaper, Sponsors or company Mandoub can visit Public Authority for Manpower to renew the residence of employers of private sector (Article 18) provided they have a valid passport. It is also possible to renew the residence of a domestic worker, Article (20) if they are outside the country, where the sponsor have to go to the residence affairs department to complete the transaction according to the terms and conditions, Al-Rai daily added.
