Kuwait City, 31st October 2023:
The Administrative Court will look into the lawsuit to ban the ‘Tik Tok’ application in Kuwait on 3rd December 2023, to allow the Kuwait Government lawyer to prepare the response.
According to a lawsuit, the applicant has requested that the “Tik Tok” website and App be blocked in the State of Kuwait, pointing out that it publishes materials that contradict the morals, customs and traditions of Kuwaiti society.
According to plaintiff, the application broadcasts clips that violate morals, and promotes clips that encourage violence and bullying and the Telecommunications Authority law authorizes the Authority to block any electronic application that violates the state’s laws in the public interest.
