Guidelines for international passengers (arrivals in India)
- Before boarding, all travellers to give undertaking that they will undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days – 7 days paid institutional quarantine at own cost, followed by 7 days isolation at home with self-monitoring of health.
- Only for exceptional and compelling reasons such as cases of human distress, pregnancy, death in family serious illness and parent(s) accompanied by children below 10 years, as assessed by the receiving states, home quarantine may be permitted for 14 days. Use of Aarogya Sethu app shall be mandatory in such cases.
- Dos and Don’ts shall be provided along with ticket to the travelers by the agencies concerned.
- All passengers shall be advised to download Aarogya Setu app on they mobile devices.
- At the time of boarding the fight/ ship, only asymptomatk travelers will be allowed to board after thermal screening.
- Passengers arriving through the land borders will also have to undergo the same protocol as above, and only those who are asymptomatic will be enabled to cross the border into India.
- Self declaration form in duplicate stall be filled by the person in the right/ship and a copy of the same vial be given to Health and Immigration officials present at the airport/ seaport/ tandoori. The form may also be made available on Aarogya Setu app.
- Suitable precautionary measures such as environmental sanitation and disinfection shall be ensured at the airports as well as within the fights.
- During boarding and at the airports, all possible measures to ensure social distancing to be ensured.
- Suitable announcement about COV10-19 including precautionary measures to be followed Hall be made at airports/port and In fights/ships and during transit.
- While onboard the flight/ ship, required precautions such as wearing of masks, environmental hygiene, respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene etc. are to be observed by slaw/ ship staff, crew and alt passengers.
- On arrival, thermal screening would be carried out in respect of all the passengers by the Health officials present at the airport/ seaport/ land on.
- The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be Immediately Isolated and taken to medical facility as per health protocol.
- The remaining passengers shall be taken to suitable institutional quantume laohtieS, to be arranged by the respective State/ UT Governments.
- These passengers shall be kept under institutional quarantine for a minimum period of 7 days.

If they test positive, they shall be assessed clinically.
a. If they are assessed as mild ewes. they will be awed home Isolation or isolated In the Coved Care Centre (both pubbc & private facilities) as aber0Priate.
b. Those having moderate or severe symptoms will be admitted to dedicated COW) Health facilities and managed accordingly.
If found negative, they shall be advised to further isolate themselves at home and self.monitor their health for 7 days.
i. In case, any symptoms develop they shall inform the district surveillance **kw or the state/national call center (107S).
NOTE: States can also develop their own protocol with regards to quarantine and isolation as per their assessment.

Strategy for COVlD-19 testing in India (Version 5, dated 18/05/2020)
1. All symptomatic (lLl symptoms) individuals with history of international travel in the last 14 days.
2. All symptomatic (lLl symptoms) contacts of laboratory confirmed cases.
3. All symptomatic (lLl symptoms) health care workers / frontline workers involved in containment and
mitigation of C0VlD19,
4. All patients of Severe Acute Respiratory lnfection (SARI).
5. Asymptomatic direct and high-risk contacts of a confirmed case to be tested once between day 5 and
day 10 of coming into contact.
6. All symptomatic lLt within hotspots/containment zones.
7. All hospitalized patients who develop lLl symptoms.
8, All symptomatic ILI among returnee$ and migrants within 7 days of illness.
I. No emergency procedure {including deliveries} should be delayed for lack of test. However, sample
can be sent for testing if indicated as above {X-S}, simultaneously.
