Position Overview

Primary responsibility is to understand the key business drivers & needs to provide proactive support and add IT value in the alignment and delivery of the business strategy and objectives through integrated solutions. This pivotal role aims to accelerate the understanding of business processed and IT resources that support these services and processes. This understanding will deliver business benefits, improve business agility & service, reduce risk and ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential Job Functions

• Setup technical infrastructure, provide technical assistance to development teams, monitor site performance and troubleshooting issues
• Set up development server environment and live server environment with process for testing and deploying changes to live site
• Design, implement and maintain a scalable and robust enterprise server environment
• Administer Apache web server, Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL Server and other parts in the stack
• Maintain compliance relating to System Security and PCI audits
• Optimize servers for high traffic, security and other Linux related system issues
• Evaluate and propose new or improved system architecture
• Document IT system configuration, processes and procedures
• Collaborate with IT and the business; utilize business intelligence and analysis to integrate technology differentiators into the business enhancements
• Work proactively and in partnership with IT to ensure that operational support is focused to achieve business as usual efficiency

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage teams and ensure work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner
• Familiarity with multi-variant browser testing and debugging
• Expertise in performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed etc.
• Understanding of OOP, design patterns (such as MVC) and experience in architecting enterprise software
• Come up with technology solutions and if required be needed to get hands on to deliver solutions
• Comfortable with Linux / Unix operating system
• Microservices architecture preparation and working experience will be a definite advantage
• Working experience on headless architecture
• Working experience on front-end frameworks like React, Angular, Vue etc.
• Ability to setup and automate servers
• Hands-on experience with building web / mobile applications preferably on multiple web applications such as Flask (PHP) / Python / PHP
• Firm grasp of key ecommerce fundamentals such as SEO / SEM, Google Analytics, etc.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
• Proficient with front-end web technologies including modern JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 Knowledge of building responsive websites and frameworks such as Bootstrap is a plus.
• Experience with deploying web applications on cloud infrastructure. Ex. AWS/ GCP etc.
