Responsibilities

• Install, configure and monitor Storage array and SAN switches.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Plan and Execute upgrades, migration Primary to local secondary site and remote sites.
• Troubleshooting, fixing problems and owning issues through to resolution
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary, Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
• Upgrade and configure system software that supports Alghanim Industries infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs
• Provide and develop a level of expertise and solutions in; VMware, Windows, Linux, Storage Systems, Networking, ITIL, basic project management and Problem Solving
• Activities that support pro-active management, monitoring and optimisation of the application infrastructure
• Maintain data center environmental and pro-active monitoring of IT infrastructure
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
• Handling escalated calls from 1st line IT support
• Manage disaster recovery and replication procedures along with Managed Service Provider
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning

Skills

•    University Graduate in IT /Computer Science/Computer Engineering

•    Expertise in Enterprise Storage/Backup, Servers, FC Switch and Hypervisor Technologies.
•    Expertise in VMware, OracleVM, EMC Storage Array/Switches. Knowledge of Stretched VMware cluster
•    Implementing / Managing On-Premises and Cloud Infrastructure Solutions.
•    Hands on migration of Workloads on-premises to the cloud
•    Implement / Manage VMware vSphere ESXI clusters, HP Blade Servers , Cisco UCS , Nutanix
•    Knowledge and experience with other Hypervisors Technologies and Hyper-Converged Solutions.
•    Disaster recovery for the systems such as failing over and failing back business critical services
•    Excellent knowledge of planning, installing, configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere
•    Excel in data Migration, workload local and remote replication.
•    Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
•    DellEMC Datadomain / Networker
•    Cloud technologies, High Performance Computing
•    Familiarity with service models (ITIL)
