Job Purpose

The Auditor is primarily responsible for the delivery of one or more concurrent investigation assignments throughout the Group’s various business activities both in Kuwait and overseas. This includes, among others, the resourcing and administration of assignments from beginning to end and includes draft report preparation, in accordance with departmental procedures.  The incumbent should represent the department in a professional manner at all times, abide by professional standards as laid down by the ACFE and IIA, and seek every opportunity to follow the principles articulated in the department’s vision and objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Delivery of investigation assignments in accordance with departmental procedures. Specifically; under supervisory guidance, defining the work plan, summarizing the findings, interviewing suspects to determine duplicity, and recommending appropriate management actions to be taken.

  • The preparation of working papers in accordance with departmental procedures and best practice.
  • Detailing all findings, factual content, context and agreed actions to be taken with relevant operations management.
  • Liaison with line management, legal counsel and authorities on a regular or need to know basis, keeping them abreast of progress for cases under management.
  • Preparing the draft Investigation Reports for the Manager’s/ Senior Manager’s / Director’s review and finalization.
  • Participating in the regular companywide fraud risk assessment process.
  • Influencing the strengthening of business processes and controls through the sharing of best practices.
  • Assisting in the detection and prevention of fraud, sharing avoidance strategies and helping to create a centre of fraud prevention excellence.
  • Raising fraud awareness and encouraging others to report incidents of fraud or concerns in accordance with the Group’s Policy for the Prevention, Recording and Reporting of Fraud.
  • Managing Fraud Hotline to include receiving and logging hotline calls.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

Skill, Knowledge and Experience required

  • Undergraduate or Qualified Accountant – CPA, CA, and ACCA preferred, but not required.
  • Undergraduate in Psychology, sociology or Criminology will be an added advantage, but not required
  • Good command of English and Arabic Language.
  • 1 to 3 years of audit, compliance, investigation, or related and/or relevant business experience.
  • Some knowledge of international Financial Reporting Standards, IIA Audit Standards, ACFE Standards
  • Good Understanding of Corporate Governance Requirements
  • Some Knowledge of Fraud Risk Assessment Methodologies and mitigation techniques
  • Internal Control documentation and evaluation
  • Investigative techniques and practices.

Assistant Visual Merchandising Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for enrolling and maintaining the visual displays in showrooms in Kuwait. Overlooking all the Instore VM team. Weekly store visits and check lists. Responsible to contribute to the profitability of the store with your merchandise team for handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts.

Job Responsibilities

VM STRATEGIES & INITIATIVES

  • Lead all project executions across all showrooms while maintaining high standards and brand guidelines.
  • Oversee and ensure brand consistency with visual merchandising team through partnership with the relevant Managers and the creation or implementation of seasonal visual guides, standards tools, hands-on training and store visits.
  • Communicate product strategies internally to gain buy-off, and effectively communicate to the field teams ensuring successful consistent execution across the chain
  • Ensure appropriate goals, feedback and coaching to field visual merchandiser and team.
  • Provide store support around key marketing and merchandising initiatives, ensure all signing, POP collateral, visual display, and plan-o-grams are implemented on time and correctly for new and existing stores. 
  • Conduct the weekly visual checklist across showrooms.

VISUAL DISPLAY

  • You may be designing visual displays yourself, or executing the design decisions of another. In either case, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a compelling presentation of merchandise that will engage customers and help stimulate sales activity. You will be the store’s brand gatekeeper, ensuring that the image and style of the company is projected at all times.

TRAINING

  • You will help to train the store team about design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual display effort.
  • By providing on-the-job training, feedback, and recognition, you will motivate other members of the store team to actively support your visual merchandising efforts.

MANAGEMENT

  • Manage all the VM team in stores, and all communication between office and store teams.
  • Manage the activities, goals, training and hiring of the visual merchandising team.
Candidate Requirements
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in similar industry
  • Interpersonal skills to influence customers and clients
  • Retail Industry Experience required.
  • Good reasoning, detail oriented with a strong analytical skill set required.
  • Strong Computer Knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products with strengths in Access and Excel required.
  • The knowledge of working with formulas, macros, databases, tables, queries and lookups is helpful.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on open items required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet rigid deadlines required.
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) required.
