Kuwait City, 26th March 2021: Vaccination Do Not Break Fasting in Ramadan, iiQ8 Kuwait authorities say vaccines do not break fast Residents and citizens can get the jab if they are fasting during Ramadan Kuwait City: On Wednesday, the Ifta authority, the Ministry of Endowments, and Islamic Affairs pointed out that the #COVID-19 vaccine does not break one’s fast. As Ramadan is a few weeks away, the announcement was made in a press statement to clarify that residents and citizens can get the COVID-19 jab even if they are fasting during the day. The fatwa added that if a patient gets too tired after receiving the vaccine or the doctor advises the patient to break his fast then it is permissible for the person to break their fast and make it up at other times. As part of the drive, the Health Ministry will coordinate with the Information Ministry to inoculate all employees in government and private media institutions. Kuwait City, 13th March, 2021: Recruitment of Filipino domestic workers to resume next week, iiQ8 Employers with previous history of not paying salaries will be barred Kuwait City: As of March 15, recruitment of domestic workers from the Philippines will resume according to Bassam Al Shammari, a representative of the labour recruitment offices. Al Shammari stated that the Philippine Union discussed the matter with the recruitment offices in Kuwait and have finalized the new regulations regarding contracts. He pointed out that any employer that has a history of employment issues or non-commitment to pay salaries will be barred from recruitment.
