Al-Sa’adoun told the Kuwait News Agency that the cold of Al- Azraq usually falls on January 24 and lasts eight days until January 31, indicating that (Al-Azraq) is characterized by extreme cold, as the faces and limbs turn blue due to the severity of the cold.   Automatic cancellation of expatriate residency from Feb 1 The Residency Affairs Sector will begin the electronic cancellation of the residencies of those who are outside the country for more than six months starting from this February 1st. All expatriates under under Article 17 (government sector), Article 19 (partner in the private sector), Article 22 (dependent), Article 23 (study) and Article 24 self sponsor and Article 18 (private sector employment) if they remain outside the country for more than six months, the residency will be cancelled automatically. This regulations were issued from Aug 1, 2022 and ends on Jan 31, 2023 so that the expatriates under this category must return to Kuwait before January 31st 2023. Kuwait City, 4th January 2023: Kuwait Deported Over 30K Expats in 2022, iiQ8 News Over 30,000 expats deported from #Kuwait over past year Of those 6,400 were #Indians, 3,500 #Bangladeshis and 3,000 #Egyptians. While a majority of women deported were #Filipinos (3,000), #SriLankans (2,600), #Indians (1,700) and #Ethiopians 1,400. More than 30,000 expats have been deported from Kuwait over the past year, an average of 82 expats a day, local media reported. These include 660 judicial deportations while the rest were administrative due to various crimes and violations mostly due to drug abuse, fights, thefts, alcohol production, expired residency and non-compliance with the Kuwait laws. Some of those deported were also in the interest of the public. The total number of men who were deported were 17,000 while the rest were women.
