Family Visa salary cap increased to 500 KD, iiQ8 Saturday, August 24, 2019 Interior Ministry issued a new decision which stipulates the minimum salary to obtain a Family Visa to 500 KD. Earlier the salary limit for Family visa was 450 KD. Those who are already in the family visa and not meeting this condition, have to get special approval from the director-General of the General Department of Residency Affairs while renewing the residency, it added. Some of the categories including Legal advisors, Judges, Doctors, Pharmacists, Financial and economic advisors, Engineers etc are exempted from this condition. Govt plans to increase salaries of employees Kuwait Government plans to increase salaries of employees, iiQ8news KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The responses of a number of ministers to questions submitted by the MPs reveal government’s desire to increase the salaries of government employees, the issue that was hindered by obstacles and rejected by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Qabas daily. Meanwhile, it turned out that the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFFS) is considering a new proposal to amend the salary scale, after more than once asking in vain to increase the salaries of its employees. MOI clarifies requirements for expat's driving license in Q8, iiq8 news Wednesday, July 10, 2019 Department of Public Relations and Security Media in Ministry of Interior has launched a new initiative to clarify the rules for expatriates, and non-Kuwaiti and Bedoun husbands of Kuwaiti women to obtain driving licenses. Citing Al-Anba daily, local newspaper Arab Times reported that this awareness initiative is in order to limit the repeated questions on this matter and avoid responding to them over and over again. As per ministerial decree No. 5598/2014, non-Kuwaiti applicants can obtain a private or public driving license provided that they have legally stayed in the country for at least two years, obtain a monthly salary not less than KD 600, and have a university degree. NRIs to get Aadhaar card without waiting for 180 days Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) having Indian passports can now get Aadhaar card without waiting for 180 days, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Friday. As of now, the NRIs get Aadhaar card after staying in India for a minimum of 180 days. "I propose to consider issuing Aadhaar card for NRIs with Indian passports after their arrival in India without waiting for 180 days," Sitharaman told Parliament while presenting the Budget 2019. According to the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, an NRI who has resided in India for 182 days or more in 12 months and with an Indian address could apply for Aadhaar. However, as per the Aadhaar Act, NRIs are fully exempt from producing Aadhaar for any verification.
