Arrival to the state of Kuwait

Not to accept any passenger arriving to the state of Kuwait except after obtaining negative (PCR) test certificate proving free from nCorona virus infection valid (72) hours from time/date of swab (test) to the time of acceptance on the flight provided and do not show any symptoms as (cold -cough-sneezing- high temperature etc..).

1. Citizens and their first-degree relatives and workers accompanying them:

a. For immunized with vaccines in the state of Kuwait and after the appearance of green color in (immune/Kuwait mobile ID) application should complete registration in (Shlonik) Application and (Kuwait-mosafer) platform.

b. All immunized citizens are subject to a home quarantine a week from the date of their arrival in the State of Kuwait. In case that they wish to end the quarantine, they conduct and pays one (PCR) test inside the State of Kuwait during the quarantine period and if proven free from Corona virus, will end scheduled home quarantine period.

c. For immunized with vaccines outside the state of Kuwait from the approved vaccines in the state of Kuwait mentioned below in item (3) must be uploaded in ministry of health website and complete registration in (Shlonik) Application and (Kuwait-mosafer) platform, All are subject to a home quarantine a week from the date of their arrival in the State of Kuwait. In case that they wish to end the quarantine, they conduct and pays one (PCR) test inside the State of Kuwait during the quarantine period and if proven free from Corona virus, will end scheduled home quarantine period.

d. Citizens and their first-degree relatives (husband – wife – children) and their domestic workers whom yellow color appears in the application (immune / Kuwait mobile ID) to complete the registration with (Shlonak) application and (Kuwait-Mosafer) platform, then home quarantine will be applied for one week from the date of their arrival in the State of Kuwait. And if they wish they wish to end the quarantine, they must conduct one (PCR) test in the State of Kuwait during the quarantine period, if result proven is free from Corona virus, then the scheduled quarantine period will be ended.

e. Citizens and their first-degree relatives (husband – wife – children) and their domestic workers whom received the vaccine outside the State of Kuwait from the non-approved vaccines in the state of Kuwait mentioned below in item (3) in circular (29/2021) will be treated as nonimmunized and they should complete the registration with (Shlonak) application and the (Kuwait-Mosafer) platform and must pay for two PCR tests, one upon arrival in the State of Kuwait and the other on the sixth day from the institutional quarantine, also they must pay the value of their stay for (7) days during the institutional quarantine at one of the approved local hotels mentioned on the (Kuwait-Mosafer) platform and if proven they are free from nCorona virus, then home quarantine will be continued for another (7) days. with the exception of the institutional quarantine to the categories mentioned in item (4) in circular (29/2021).

2- Non-Kuwaitis:

a. For immunized with vaccines in the state of Kuwait and after the appearance of green color in (immune/Kuwait mobile ID) application should complete registration in (Shlonik) Application and (Kuwait-mosafer) platform.

b. All immunized are subject to a home quarantine a week from the date of their arrival in the State of Kuwait. In case that they wishes to end the quarantine, they conducts and pays one (PCR) test inside the State of Kuwait during the quarantine period and if proven free from nCorona virus, will end scheduled home quarantine.

c. Immunized non-Kuwaitis who received the vaccine outside the State of Kuwait from the approved vaccines in the state of Kuwait mentioned in item (3) in circular (29/2021), they must approve the vaccine certificate by uploading the certificate through the ministry of health website, and complete the registration with (Shlonak) application and (Kuwait-Mosafer) platform, provided vaccination must be proven before boarding the flight and upon arrival through the verification (QR-Code) certificate issued from (immune) application of the State of Kuwait, All are subject to home quarantine for one week from the date of their arrival in the State of Kuwait. In case that they wish to end the quarantine, they must conduct and pay for one (PCR) test inside the State of Kuwait during the quarantine period and if proven free from Corona virus, then the scheduled home quarantine will be ended.

Vaccines approved in the state of Kuwait and number of doses required for immunization to show the green color in (immune/Kuwait mobile ID) Application:

• Pfizer BioNTech vaccine / Comirnaty / COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine (Nucleoside-Modified)-0.3ml / Tozinameran(BNT162b2) (two doses).
• AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine AZD1222 (chAdOx1) / VAXZEVRIA / COVISHIELD / R-COVI / COVID-19 Vaccine (two doses).
• Moderna vaccine / Spikevax / mRNA-1273 / TAK-919 (two doses).
• Johnson & Johnson vaccine / Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine / Ad26.COV2 / NJ-78436735 / Ad26COVS1 / VAC31518 (one dose).

Individuals immunized with unapproved vaccines in The State of Kuwait (Sinopharm – Sinovac – Sputnik) Must receive at least 1 additional dose of vaccine approved in The State of Kuwait.

Proof of Immunization:

Individuals vaccinated in The State of Kuwait:

To provide proof of immunization upon arrival via Immune App and/or Kuwait Mobile ID ap

Individuals vaccinated outside The State of Kuwait:

To provide a proof of immunization certificate that includes the following:

• Individuals’s name must match passport.
• Vaccine type.
• Dates of doses.
• Vaccine provider.
• Electronically verifiable QR Code.

In cases where QR codes are not available, official vaccination certificate must be uploaded on Kuwait MOH website

Belsalamah

Unvaccinated domestic workers are exempt of the above rules BUT their employers must register them on : Belsalamah platform

Categories excluded from institutional quarantine:

a. Diplomatic missions and Approved diplomats and their first-degree relatives (husband-wife-children) weather individually or collectively and their accompanying domestic workers (provided their identification cards are presented).

b. Kuwaiti patients treated abroad and their companions after completing treatment, (provided proof certificate issued from Kuwait health office abroad where the treatment is received).

c. Governmental and private medical staff and their first-degree relatives (husband-wife-children) weather individually or collectively and their accompanying domestic workers (proof must be provided).

d. Minors travelling unaccompanied.
