Kuwait Lifted many COVID-19 Restrictions, iiQ8 info
#Kuwait‘s cabinet has lifted many COVID-19 restrictions including a ban on foreign travel & the move will also apply to those who are not vaccinated, Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Sabah said on Monday
The Cabinet agreed to allow people unvaccinated against COVID-19 to travel, enter malls, Public transportation to operate at 100% passenger capacity Allow social gatherings, weddings parties, & conferences, Approved 100% workforce operating at all government bodies starting from Sunday 13/3/2022, Social distancing returns back in mosques, All non-vaccinated people can travel from Kuwait provided they will have to provide a PCR test result upon arrival, & Students can return to school without a PCR test except in case they are infected.
Kuwait Prime Minister weathered latest coronavirus wave
◾️ H.H the PM Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has announced that #Kuwait had overcome the latest wave of coronavirus, paving the way for easing the virus restrictions and outlining a new phase of living with it.
◾️ Clarified that the pre-emptive plans set by the government bodies, mainly the Health Ministry, had paid off.
◾️ As the infections surge had ebbed & the number of vaccinated people had climbed, the cabinet loosened pandemic restrictions for both vaccinated & unvaccinated people.
◾️ Noted that Kuwait would relax coronavirus restrictions & “live with the virus & its different variants”.
◾️ Pointed out that the cabinet had scrapped PCR test requirements for travellers & unvaccinated students attending schools & universities.
◾️ Abolished social distancing in mosques & allowed unvaccinated people to enter shopping centers, he stressed that people still need to wear facemasks.
◾️ He expressed appreciation to all people as well as the Public & private sector workers for their cooperation & commitment during the past period.
