No dependent Visa for children above 12 Years Children above 12 year are not eligible to get dependent visa, reported local Arabic daily Al-Jarida. According to Al-Jarida newspaper, the new regulation stipulates that an expatriate children of above 12 years of age are not eligible to get a dependent visa. The Arabic paper also reported that the residence permits of children under dependent visa (son) will not be eligible for renewal once the son is crossed 18 years of age unless they produce proof of that they are registered at one of the local universities. This will inversely affect the families with 12 years and above kids who are planning to join with their husband in Kuwait. Family Visa salary cap increased to 500 KD, iiQ8 Saturday, August 24, 2019 Interior Ministry issued a new decision which stipulates the minimum salary to obtain a Family Visa to 500 KD. Earlier the salary limit for Family visa was 450 KD. Those who are already in the family visa and not meeting this condition, have to get special approval from the director-General of the General Department of Residency Affairs while renewing the residency, it added. Govt plans to increase salaries of employees Kuwait Government plans to increase salaries of employees, iiQ8news KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: The responses of a number of ministers to questions submitted by the MPs reveal government’s desire to increase the salaries of government employees, the issue that was hindered by obstacles and rejected by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Qabas daily. Meanwhile, it turned out that the Public Institute for Social Security (PIFFS) is considering a new proposal to amend the salary scale, after more than once asking in vain to increase the salaries of its employees. PIFSS said salaries of employees in other institutions have increased and justified the resignations at the Institute saying it was a result of poor salaries.
