Ministry of Public Works MPW, Kuwait, iiQ8 Brief History : When the Department of Works was established in 1945, only a few employees worked in three offices with an area of no more than fifty square meters. The tasks assigned to the Department of Works at that time were limited. It limited itself to establishing some buildings necessary for public services and departments, such as the Shura Council and some customs and passport buildings, the Health and Interior Department and the old Emiri Hospital, and one of its first tasks was to conduct an air survey of the State of Kuwait and map the city with the designation of public services areas.
