About the embassy
The embassy represents the DPRK in Kuwait and handles diplomatic contact between the two governments. We found very little published about its work, so this listing keeps strictly to the address and telephone number in the Kuwaiti government’s directory. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists it among the embassies accredited to Kuwait.
Address and location
Kuwait Government Online gives the address as Salam Suburb, Block 2, Ali Al-Jassar Street (22), House 473. Myanmar’s embassy is also in Block 2 of Salam, on Street 203, so the block holds more than one mission. Ali Al-Jassar Street appears with a number in brackets, which suggests that the street has both a name and a number. We found no P.O. Box or landmark that we could verify.
Contact information
The official Kuwaiti listing gives one telephone number, +965 2561 0658. We did not find an email address, fax number or website that we could confirm, so none is published here. Telephone is the only contact method that we can offer.
Opening hours
We found no opening hours from an official page or from a directory we could trust. The DPRK’s public holidays, such as 9 September, may close the embassy on days when Kuwait is open, so ask which days and hours it keeps before you go.
Services
As a full embassy it provides consular support to North Korean citizens in Kuwait. We could not confirm a list of individual services, fees or required documents from an official page, so this listing does not describe them. Ask when you telephone which services are offered in person and whether you need an appointment.
Visa information
Entry rules for North Korea are restrictive, and many governments advise against travel there or limit it. This listing does not state requirements, fees or processing times. Contact the embassy, and check your own government’s current travel advice.
Before you visit
- Telephone first to confirm that the embassy is open to visitors, and to ask about hours.
- Make sure you want the DPRK embassy and not the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
- Bring your original passport, your Kuwait civil ID if you live in Kuwait, and any documents the embassy asks for.
