Ramadan Working hours announced by Civil Service Commission iiq8 news

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) set the working hours for state institutions during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ministries and governmental institutions including Ministry of Education, Information, Ports, Agriculture Authority, Youth Authority, Industry, Minors Affairs, Customs, Fire Department, Municipality, Civil Service etc will be working from 9:30 am till 2:00 pm for ministries and government institutions.

Rest of the institutions will be working from 10 am to 2:30 pm.

Institutions with special nature need to consult with CSC for their working hours, the statement said.

Foundation stone laid for first traditional Hindu temple in UAE

The historic foundation stone-laying ceremony of the first traditional Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi was performed on Saturday, April 20 in the presence of thousands of Indian community people and officials from India and the UAE.

The ‘Shilanyas Vidhi’ ceremony was presided over by Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha – the religious and social organisation building the temple.

The ceremony started with rituals led by Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami. Sanskrit verses filled the air as priests described to devotees how each ritual had to be conducted.

Community leaders and devotees followed the directions from their respective seated areas which had a tray placed in front of them containing a brick, rice, flowers, nuts etc.

New Rs 50 Currency Note Launched By RBI

The currency of India has undergone a lot of changes over the years, and especially after demonetization. Now, the note of Rs. 50 has been changed and the new note has been launched on Tuesday ( 16-04-2019) .

However, the old notes of Rs. 50 will still continue to be legal. RBI said, “All banknotes in the denomination of Rs. 50 issued by the Reserve Bank in the past will continue to be legal tender.”

Kuwait Ministry increases hospital charges for expatriates to 10 KD

Health Minister Sheikh Dr Bassel Al-Sabah issued an orders today to increase public hospital fees for expatriates from KD 5 to KD 10 with immediate effect. The increased fee is applicable for emergency section.

The decision will alleviate the pressure on trauma and ER at public hospitals and encourage patients to seek treatment at polyclinics in their respective areas of residence instead, the health ministry said in a statement.

Number of MPs have submitted a draft law calling to impose a five-percent tax on remittances by expatriates to their home countries. The financial and economic affairs committee went ahead and approved the bill and sent it for the Assembly for approval.
