About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

Lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
Design and implement application architecture for Mashkor core services
Own the technical components of our core services including, but not limited to, configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, and go-live support
Revise migration paths for migration from older to up-to-date architectures
Apply formal software architecture evaluation methodologies to analyze solutions
Foresee technical risks and provide mitigation strategies
Bring in new innovative technological solutions that add value to our business

Desired Skills / Experience:

Knowledge of enterprise solutions and architecture (eg, technical expertise in virtualization, cloud, containers, automation, or middleware)
Experience in building CI/CD pipelines in AWS or Google Cloud Platform
Excellent knowledge of programming languages (Node.js, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server, etc.) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Apache Ignite, DynamoDB, Cassandra DB, etc.) database engines
Experience building enterprise security strategy for cloud
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience working with teams with Agile/Lean approaches
Experience running quick PoCs
Deep knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices
Eager to move work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience designing large scale web applications
10+ years of software engineering experience
Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science/software engineering or equivalent experience
Must be based in Kuwait and available to join on a shorter notice
