Sr. Financial Analyst- Ecommerce

Job Summary

The job holder will provide financial and analytical support to a specific Alghanim business.  They will assist business decision making by monitoring and analyzing business performance and input to the financial planning process.

Job Responsibilities

•    Assist FM/FD in business budgeting, forecasting by working with operations through  collection and analysis of financial data
•    Prepare reports for internal & external customers such as vendors/suppliers etc.
•    Monitor Key Performance Indicators.
•    Analyze business performance & provide commentary on reasons for changes.
•    Compute NPV and IRR for small value capital expenditure/AFE by integrating with operations.
•    Review provisions/expenses/revenue leakage etc. and help FM in managing the profitability.
•    Support operations manager/GM etc. on adhoc requests
•    Review work of FA

Candidate Requirements

 

•    University Graduate, majored in Finance. Professional Qualifications CA/CPA/ACCA/ Master/MBA would be highly preferred.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience within finance, with at least 2 years of related experience with any ecommerce /market place.
•    Sound knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts.
•    Good leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills.
•    Proven analytical capabilities.
•    Fluency in English; strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

Internal Auditor

Long Description

Job Summary

Primarily responsible for the delivery of one or more concurrent investigation assignments throughout the Group’s various business activities both in Kuwait and overseas. This includes, among others, the resourcing and administration of assignments from beginning to end and includes draft report preparation, in accordance with departmental procedures.  The incumbent should represent the department in a professional manner at all times, abide by professional standards as laid down by the ACFE and IIA, and seek every opportunity to follow the principles articulated in the department’s vision and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

·         Delivery of investigation assignments in accordance with departmental procedures. Specifically; under supervisory guidance, defining the work plan, summarizing the findings, interviewing suspects to determine duplicity, and recommending appropriate management actions to be taken.
·         The preparation of working papers in accordance with departmental procedures and best practice.
·         Detailing all findings, factual content, context and agreed actions to be taken with relevant operations management.
·         Liaison with line management, legal counsel and authorities on a regular or need to know basis, keeping them abreast of progress for cases under management.
·         Preparing the draft Investigation Reports for the Manager’s/ Senior Manager’s / Director’s review and finalization.
·         Participating in the regular companywide fraud risk assessment process.
·         Influencing the strengthening of business processes and controls through the sharing of best practices.
·         Assisting in the detection and prevention of fraud, sharing avoidance strategies and helping to create a centre of fraud prevention excellence.
·         Raising fraud awareness and encouraging others to report incidents of fraud or concerns in accordance with the Group’s Policy for the Prevention, Recording and Reporting of Fraud.
·         Managing Fraud Hotline to include receiving and logging hotline calls.
·         Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality.

Candidate Requirements

–          Undergraduate or Qualified Accountant – CPA, CA, and ACCA preferred, but not required.
–          Undergraduate in Psychology, sociology or Criminology will be an added advantage, but not required
–          Knowledge of Arabic is highly preferable and those candidates who are bilingual in English and Arabic may receive a waiver for the education and experience requirements
–          1 to 3 years of audit, compliance, investigation, or related and/or relevant business experience that will be valuable to the Group Compliance Department’s overall achievement of its objectives
–          International exposure
–          Some Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, IIA Audit Standards, ACFE Standards
–          Good understanding of Corporate Governance requirements

The candidate will lead visual team in development of new stores designs, in-store merchandising concepts, visual displays, and seasonal product calendars, achieving a best-in-class shopping experience and visually attractive store journey.

 

Essential Job Roles

 

  • Lead the Visual Merchandising team in creating, establishing, and ensuring an optimal visual level in the store contributing to commercial objectives of Safat Home.
  • Implement and innovate upon store layout plan to best present the product range
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing environment for our customers
  • Plan and execute effective visual merchandising strategies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior design or equivalent.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple projects with strong attention to details.
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Summary

The Gaming Consultant is responsible for enhancing the gaming section’s customer experience by providing expert advice on gaming accessories, consoles, and products. He/She is responsible for assisting customers visiting the showrooms, promoting XCITE available products, using upselling techniques to ensure maximized exposure of all product offerings, and providing feedback on consoles and PCs, top selling games, accessories, and any other gaming product offerings.

Job Responsibilities

The role of the Gaming Consultant will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Stay informed and up to date on all gaming news, new releases, and build knowledge on all hardware platforms or online games.
  • Ensure customers of the gaming section are attended to and provided with all required assistance.
  • Provide feedback on gaming consoles and other hardware and answer customer questions.
  • Provide feedback on top charting games, accessories and answer customer questions pertaining to these items/products.
  • Responsible for the look and feel of the gaming section and ensure all items are available and stocked.
  • Provide customers with information on related products available in store to ensure upselling opportunities are maximized.
  • Complete daily routine checks of product pricing displays and merchandising guidelines.
  • Conduct weekly competitors visit and report on pricing/range variations.
  • Report on damaged display, disconnected and dis-functional items to section head.
  • Maintain and stage a gaming demonstration area within the store for key software releases, and demo games to customers when appropriate.
  • Contribute to team effort by cross-selling and helping to achieve store KPIs.
  • Keeping all company information, including sales figures, strictly confidential.
  • Report to the Showroom Supervisor and ensure that the employee Code of Conduct and HR policy are followed and upheld in stores.
