Divisional operations managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of their company’s divisions. They commonly manage a team of managers who oversee individual departments or sections of the division.

Divisional operations managers often have a broad range of responsibilities, but they tend to focus on three main areas: leadership, planning, and coordination. They may be tasked with developing plans for improving efficiency, quality control, customer service, etc. They may also be responsible for coordinating efforts between different departments within the division in order to ensure that everyone is working toward the same goals.

• A divisional operations manager typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
• Reviewing operations and making recommendations for improvements in efficiency and productivity
• Reporting directly to the vice president or president of the company,
• Developing plans to ensure that adequate supplies are available for all operations
• Maintaining records of inventory levels and sales volume to identify opportunities for increasing profits through improved sales techniques
• Reviewing financial statements and reporting to executives about operational results
• Analyzing data to determine operational issues and suggesting solutions to problems
• Leading and supervising employees in their work duties to ensure that the department is running smoothly
• Making decisions about hiring new staff members or terminating existing staff members based on their performance
