Role Name: Chief Information Officer

 

Job Summary:

As a Chief Information Officer, you will be primarily responsible to manage the company’s information technology services across all businesses for Alghanim Industries. You will work closely with the key stakeholders for each business and drive their interest, engagement and partnership in setting the IT roadmap.

You will be largely responsible to take ownership of the development of our technical platforms and internal IT systems. This is a hugely exciting role for a highly experienced and dynamic CIO to help shape the future of our business.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain a IT and digital strategy and the associated roadmap
• Work in partnership with business units to:
  • Fully understand the key business drivers, processes and needs, current challenges as well as future strategic initiatives and objectives
  • Propose IT solutions helping the businesses to achieve its objectives
  • Manage IT initiatives from “ideas” to “execution”
• Drive change management and ensure organization wide trainings are provided on any new systems that are introduced
• Deliver enhanced IT performance and introduce technology to enhance customer experience
• Work with the various stakeholders and external consultants if necessary where IT support is supplied via third party vendors
• Evaluate technology options and provide realistic, cost effective long term recommendations
• Review of procurement requirements and contractual arrangements
• Manage the relationships with external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated based on formalized KPI’s and SLA’s and ongoing service is in-line with agreed contracts
• Manage the annual information technology capital and operational expense budgets
• Review, audit and prioritization of all information management systems
• Engage, lead and develop direct reports and teams under area of responsibility building an organization with a strong succession pipeline. Provide strong leadership to the IT team, drive clarity of responsibility and process and supporting an IT team culture which puts the user at the heart of what it does
• Develop and maintain a security plan for IT and to implement measures designed to safeguard the Information Technology and Management needs of the company in the event of major incidents or disasters

 

 

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an IT or Technology subject area
• Master’s Degree is preferred but not mandatory
• Demonstrable experience and evidence of success in an information management role in a multi-business firm
• Experience in managing multi-million dollar expense cost centers and IT capital investment budgets
• Ability to work with external consultants and IT Experts in formulating solutions for our business needs
• Demonstrated experience in building and mentoring/developing a strong IT Team
• Understanding of data security and other compliance responsibilities
• Demonstrable experience and ability to build productive relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders
• Executive presence and ability to present technical concepts in a understandable manner
• Experience with a multi-business firm in the Middle East region is preferred
