Kuwait City, 2nd June 2021: Kuwait Airport to open gradually at the end of June month, iiQ8 As per Local Arabic Daily newspaper reported - Kuwait is increasing the speed of vaccination to attain the community immunity, that the Airport is expected to open gradually at the end of this month. Completing the vaccination with Kuwait approved vaccine must be a condition to allow travelers to the country, this report added. Regarding those who were vaccinated from abroad with vaccines that were not in the approved list of Kuwait Government, sources indicated that an option of giving them one dose of approved vaccine upon arrival is also under discussion, report said. The nurseries are expected to open by September 2021 according to health requirements. Opening of schools will be considered according to the vaccination rate in the country. Saudi Arabia is lifting a ban on travelers arriving from 11 countries that it imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus, the Saudi state news agency said on Saturday, but will still require quarantine procedures. Travelers from the United Arab Emirates, Germany, The United States, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, The United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan, will be allowed entry from Sunday, SPA reported, quoting an Interior Ministry source. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to distribute a total of 10 thousand doses in several hospitals in the country's capital Delhi on Monday. Kuwait City, 19th May 2021: Direct flights begin to India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and SriLanka, iiQ8 The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the resumption of direct outgoing flights to five banned countries – India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from Tuesday, May 18, but decided to continue to ban on incoming passenger flights from these five countries, reports Al-Anba daily. According to reliable sources, the approval was issued to facilitate the travel of residents of these nationalities, which was hindered due to the decision to suspend commercial flights to those countries. Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways, in addition to the airlines of those countries, will operate the flights. DGCA is currently awaiting the issuance of new directives from the Cabinet regarding the removal of some countries from the list of banned countries, in preparation for the resumption of direct flights to them.
