Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for the position of Sr. Coordinator Records in the Operations department, in this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Basic Function and Scope :

Carries out a variety of administrative duties in keeping records of courses, participants and individual test results. Prepares statistical lists as required. Drafts emergency licences for signature, takes photocopies, files documents and correspondence accordingly.

Tasks and Duties :

a. Maintains records of all courses, including individual record cards, recording the type of course, the date of attendance and the marks achieved, outlining when the next refresher course is due. Regularly updates these records.

b. Updates records of all personnel holding the Corporation’s safety manuals. Records amendments made and forwards to the holder, ensuring signature of receipt is obtained, to confirm he has received the amendment, files all receipts accordingly.

c. Maintains all files, and develops an efficient index to facilitate easy reference. Files all documents, trainee or course reports, completed examination papers, various correspondence, safety brochures and booklets as required.

Requirements

a. Completion of Secondary (12 years) education certificate with 2 years Diploma in Administration.

b. 8 years’ administrative experience, including 1 year training.

Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting for the position of Engineer I, Standards & Procedures in the Quality Control department, in this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Basic Function and Scope :
Directs and ensures the issuance of KAC documents such as Maintenance Organizations Exposition, Engineering and Quality Control Procedures (Part II) and Engineering Bulletins and amends them periodically. Issues SPI’s for compliance of Airworthiness Directives issued by various Regulatory Authorities and Alert SB’s by manufacturers.

Tasks and Duties:

a. Evaluates all airworthiness directives issued by different regulatory authorities such as FAA, JAA, CAA, DGAC France, all Operator’s Telex (AOT), Alert Service Bulletins, Operator’s Information Telex (OIT) and other related matter and issues special inspections (SPI) to satisfy the requirements of the Ads, AOTs, etc.

b. Reviews all KAC documents such as maintenance organization exposition, engineering and quality control procedures ( Part II), company capability List, Base Maintenance Manual, Engineering Bulletins and JAA and FAA supplements to MOE. Amends the documents when required and obtains approval from relevant authority such as Engineering Director, Manager Quality Control and forward to DGCA Kuwait for their approval.

c. Issues and controls of different Quality Control Forms/ technical logs/ cabin defect logs and revises them as required.

Requirements

Bachelors’ degree in Aeronautical Engineer or Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Double License).
6 Years’ experience in civil aircraft maintenance work inclusive of 2 years’ experience in Quality Control.

Job Description

Kuwait Airways is activity recruiting a Legal Director to lead the Kuwait Airways Legal department. In this role your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Roles & Responsibilities:

a. Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Legal Department. Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by Management for the position.

b. Develops KAC policies on contract and insurance procedures and identifies types of coverage for Management approval. Supervises and directs the preparation of contracts and insurance policies, negotiation of claims and provision of other legal services.

c. Provides advice to Management on formulation of contractual and insurance terms and conditions, as applicable, for international as well as local contracting.

d. Provides advice to department directors on contracts, including interpretation of KAC policies in this respect. Includes, reviewing contract agreements drafts to ensure compliance with related Kuwaiti and international regulations, and KAC legal rights.

e. Supervises, checks and prepares call for tenders, contracts, amendments, etc., and personally attends or delegates subordinates to attend Tender Committee meetings.

f. Advises on all matters involving litigation. Includes, reviewing and approving case briefs, participating in legal and quasi-legal proceedings and supervising legal representation in all aspects of litigation.

g. Exercises general supervision over insurance activities to ensure coverage of all KAC risks and liabilities. Includes, participating in premium and contract provisions with local insurance and reinsurance companies, inspecting important accidents and recommending claim settlements on ex-gratia basis.

Requirements

a. Law Degree from a recognized university by the State of Kuwait.

b. Minimum of 15 years’ experience in legal field, with at least 6 years in a senior supervisory position in legal and insurance activities, preferably within an airline company.
