Kuwait City, 6th February, 2024 : Kuwait Opens Visit Visa, Minimum 400 KD Salary
Ministry of Kuwait is reopening visit visas for family, commercial and tourists starting Wednesday, 7th February, 2024 under new conditions, the Interior Ministry of Kuwait announced 6th February, 2024 Monday.
Applicants must book through the meta platform to schedule appointments for their applications. The conditions to apply for a visa are as follows:
Requirements for family visit visa:
• To apply visit visa for the father, mother, wife, and children, the applicant’s salary should not be less than 400 KD while for the rest of the family members the applicants salary should not be less than 800 KD.
• The ticket for round trip must be booked on an airlines affiliated with national carrier.
• A written pledge should be signed not to request that these visits will be converted into residence permit.
• Pledge to adhere to the duration of the visit.
• Visitor’s treatment will be in private hospitals and clinic. No treatment for visitors at Government facilities.
• In the event that the visitor violates the period of stay assigned to him, both the visitor and the sponsor will be subjected to investigations and legal procedure will be applied.

– Family visit visa:
- Can be issued to parents, wives and children as long as the applicant earns at least KD 400 a month.
- Can be issued to other relatives if the applicant earns at least KD 800 a month.
- Provide round trip tickets on national carriers.
- Written undertaking of not requesting a transfer of the visit visa to a residency visa.
- Undertaking to commit to the duration of the visit.
- Treatment at private hospitals only, if necessary during the visit.
- In case of violation of the duration period, the visitor and the sponsor will face legal procedures.
– Commercial visit visa:
- Can be issued as per a request from Kuwaiti companies and institutions to people who have proper
academic or artistic qualifications, and in line with the company’s activity.

Commercial visit visa:
• Commercial visit visa is issued upon a request submitted by a Kuwaiti company or institution and is granted to persons holding university or technical qualifications, in a manner commensurate with the company’s activity and the nature of its work.
– Tourist visit visa:
- Can be issued to citizens of 53 countries eligible for visa on arrival or e-visa through moi.gov.kw.
- Can be issued to residents in GCC countries of specific professions.
- Can be issued by hotels and companies that are connected to the Residency Affairs Department’s system.

Tourist visit visa:
• For people belonging to 53 countries, (which are listed on MoI website) will get tourist visa upon arrival to the country or through an electronic visa from the Ministry of Interior’s website.
• For residents of Gulf Cooperation Council countries, entry visas is issued for professions specified in Ministerial Resolution No. (2030/2008), through hotels and companies that have an automatic connection to the General Administration of Residence Affairs in accordance with the applicable requirements.

Tourist visa
- For the citizens of 53 countries, the visa is granted to them either directly from the port of entry upon arrival to the country or through an electronic visa on the ministry’s website –www.moi.gov.kw.
- For residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries where entry visas for tourism are issued to persons with professions specified in Ministerial Resolution number 2030/2008 and its amendments, and following the rules and regulations specified in the aforementioned Ministerial Resolution.
- Through hotels and companies that have an automatic link with the system of the Residence Affairs General Department under the applicable regulations.
