In addition to some professions in the field of finance, the Public Authority for Manpower is about to check the qualifications of residents who hold the title “accountant.”
It is estimated that the process will start after the approval of the work plan, and it will cover all valid and registered work permits between March and December 2023, provided the audit process is automated. A report by Al-Qabas daily quoting reliable sources estimates that approximately 16,000 residents work in accounting professions.
It is reported that the Occupational Safety Center will study the special educational qualifications of accounting residents, indicating that this is the second step in adjusting the demographics.
Also, the committee completed the “Kuwait Visa” application, which verifies visas issued to workers coming to Kuwait and to those obtaining “commercial and tourist” visas through electronic channels.

Several sources reported that the issuance of non-transferable commercial visas into a work permit has finally been reactivated, along with allowing visitors from different nationalities to reside in the GCC.
In addition to certain nationalities that are allowed to issue electronic visas without the requirement of residency in the GCC countries, Kuwait allows 20 professions to enter from GCC countries if they have a valid residency for more than 6 months, as well as a valid passport. They can enter the country with their families and domestic workers as long as they are accompanied by the person concerned (the applicant).
