 మక్కికి మక్కీ జవాబు   రోజులు యధా ప్రకారం దొర్లిపోతుండగా, ఆ ఏడాది తన తండ్రి సచ్చిదానందుల వారి శ్రద్ధకర్మ (తద్దినం) ఘనంగా చెయ్యాలని పరమానందయ్య గారికి అనిపించింది. పేరిందేవి కూడా మామగారి అనురాగ వాత్సల్యాలు గుర్తుకు తెచ్చుకొని “తప్పకుండా వారి ఆత్మ శాంతించేలా ఘనంగా చేసి తీరాలి” అని తీర్మానించింది. ఆరోజు నవకాయ పిండివంటలూ వండించి, విష్ణుస్థానంలో అదనంగా మరొక బ్రాహ్మణుని కూడా అర్చించి, భోక్తలకు దక్షిణ తాంబూలాలిచ్చి పంపేశాక, శిష్యులతో సహా గురువుగారు భోజనాలకు కూర్చున్నారు. వంటలు ప్రశస్తంగా కుదిరి అందరూ వారి అభిరుచుల మేరకు భోజనం ఆస్వాదిస్తుండగా “గురువుగారూ! మీరేదైనా ఒక జ్ఞానబోధ... వజ్రపు తునకలాంటిది ఈ సందర్భంగా మాకు చెప్పాలి. దాన్ని జీవితాంతం మర్చిపోకుండా అనుసరిస్తాం” అన్నారు.
