Kuwait shuts down all shopping malls with exception of food stores

Shops, malls, and barbershops will be closed due to coronavirus, Tareq Al-Mezrem, government spokesman said Saturday.
In a press conference, accompanied by Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad AlSabah, and Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, Al-Mezremadded acrades and entertainment centers for children will also be closed.
The spokesman said cooperative societies and ration centers will remain open.
Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh, during the extraordinary cabinet meeting at Seif Palace said that part of these efforts were suspension of public transportatioun, closure of acrades and children's entertainment centers, closure of shopping malls with exception of food stores, and closure of barber shops and women's salons.
